The Killing Fields, Chatsworth Reservoir
Contributed by: BEGRUNT

A few months back, I had an article in the editorial section in the Daily News about the Chatsworth Reservoir. In that article, I asked why the reservoir wasn't opened to the public. I got a snarky response from an enviro type, who basically said that the rest of us unwashed masses can't appreciate the beauty of the reservoir and would disturb the wildlife of the area. Since that response, I have witnessed with horror the absolute butchery of the "wildlife" in the area by rouge bands of coyotes. Not only the birds, but deer, domestic animals and anything else they can get their paws on. Since I live above the reservoir, I have a front row seat. Don't you think having nature trails and hiking trails, would possibly reduce the number of coyotes, help the habitat, and save the treasured "wildlife"? Just asking.
